Bangsar, 4 March: Kajol joined us for coffee at our regular earlier today, just as Tommy Thomas was explaining to FMT in another part of town why he had resigned as the Attorney-General at the height of last week's "coup".
Kajol, a lawyer by training, wouldn't have any of Tommy Thomas' "bs".

"It's an abdication of responsibilites, that's what it is. Tommy Thomas was appointed by the office of the Prime Minister, not by the individual (Dr Mahathir).
"The responsible thing to do, therefore, was wait till a new Prime Minister was appointed. Only after that should Tommy Thomas have offered to resign or left it to the new office of the Prime Minister to ask him to stay or go," she argued.
Mmmm. our Kajol is not just a looker she's got brains, too.
p.s. But if you go by the former Attorney-Genera's principled decision to quit because the PM who appointed him had quit, then shouldn't it be incumbent as well upon the other political appointees, such as Latheefa Koya, the Inspector-General of Police, the Bank Negara governor, the various heads of GLCs (including Zeti of PNB and Rosli Man of Telekom Malaysia) to resign?
p.p.s Kajol told me, by the way, that Tommy Thomas wasn't appointed by the PM, anyway. The Prime Minister only proposed, it was the Yang diPertuan Agong who appointed him.

ReplyDeleteTun M lantik Tommy Thomas untuk memastikan Najib, Zahid dan pemimpin UMNO yg lain masuk penjara atau sekurang-kurangnya dapat rosakkan imej mereka dengan berita2 sensasi di dada akhabar bila selesai ajer setiap hari perbicaraan mereka
Sebagai ganti, Tommy dibenarkan untuk melepaskan LGE....
Ini macam satu bentuk salah guna kuasa, pendakwaan politik serta tak tahu apa kita nak panggil pemimpin berperangi buruk dan tak ada integriti macam ni!!!
Sekarang tengoklah, kenapa tiba2 ramai saksi2 yg dulunya di sebelah pihak pendakwa, sekarang telah berani nak menceritakan perkara yang sebenarnya....
Nampak macam saksi2 ini pun telah diugut untuk memberi kenyataan palsu..
Di SPRM sendiri, banyak kertas2 siasatan yang menyebelahi NajiB dalam kes SRC/1MDB telah disorokkan, tidak didedahkan dan tidak diberi kepada pegumambela Najib bila diminta...
Saya dapat merasakan, sebab tu Najib, Zahid, dan pemimin UMNO lain yg didakwa mahu kes mereka dteruskan sbb yakin mereka dipihak yg benar....dan pendakwaan ini adalah pendakwaan politik dimana saksi2 telah diugut dan byk kebenaran cuba ditutup....
Saya yakin kes ini semua akan berakhir dengan keputusan hakim yang akan menyatakan tertuduh dibebaskan kerana pendakwa tidak dapat membuktikan tertuduh terlibat dengan smeua pertuduhan tersebut....
Maka diharap seluruh rakyat Malaysia boleh menerima kenyataan dan jgn cuba lagi membangkitkan isu ini lagi.....KES2 YANG SEDANG BERJALAN TU TAK UBAH SEPERTI MEMBUANG MASA SEMUA ORANG .....INI SEMUA BERMOTIF POLITIK YG DIGERAKKAN OLEH SESEORANG YANG INGIN BERKUASA DAN UNTUK MEMASTIKAN KRONI2 DIA KAYA RAYA...
