The Mole, that news site that seemingly doesn't care, has run an editorial on the whereabouts of PM Najib Razak. Or, rather, on the state of mind of people who equate his going on leave with not doing his job as Prime Minister! One news portal based abroad even whined about how its queries on the Malaysian PM's holidays abroad were not entertained! Lol!
The Mole says:
KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister, as we understand, is on holiday. So, yes - happy holiday, Sir. Then again, he may not be. But he is out of the country, for sure. Some people may know where he is. Some people may not. Some do not know and perhaps do not care. Most are not bothered as long as he is still running the country and not abdicating his duties. ... (read the entire editorial So, what, the PM can't go on holiday?)
By the way, you have probably heard that The Mole has a new editorial head honcho in Datuk Nuraina Samad, 57, the former managing editor of the New Straits Times. She replaces Shamsul Akmar, 51, who was Mole editor since its memorable inception on Sept 16, 2011, from Aug 1, 2014. Shamsul (ex-Star, ex-NST) has gone over to The Malaysian Reserve, the business daily, as its Group Editor and Executive Director.
Under Nuraina, I am told that The Mole is about to care even less ... for what or whom, we shall see :-)
I remain as Advisor to the Mole until the end of this month.
Dia ni bukan anak Allahyarham Pak Samad ke? anak dia wartawan jugak rupanya..
ReplyDeleteNo. The PM haa been elevated to the status of a superhuman being so he can't rest & take holidays.
ReplyDeleteNo problem with the PM going on vacation but surely, it should be announced or mentioned. I remember when Tun M went on holiday, we were told so no one wondered.
ReplyDeleteOf course the PM can go on holiday but is he on holiday or not. Even when Obama goes on holidays, the whole nation America is being informed. But Naji failed to do that. He is nothing more a spoilt brag and you Rocky continue fart your smelly gas together with the other woman.

DeleteI'm in shock. Monkeys CAN bang out words on a keyboard.
More importantly, if the PM not telling you as a citizen that he is on holiday or not, does that affect your duties to your job, family, social obligations?? Maybe you are a disgruntled government worker, being part of the problem instead of a solution.
Or maybe you're a monkey, who knows nothing but bananas.
Anon 2:37 pm. Where have you been? Hibernating at Mars.
ReplyDeleteM'sians are real stupid. Why make an issue of PM on holiday? He's entitled to have one, just like us. Moreover, even if he's on holuday, he's in touch with situation at home. Everything is reachable in this modern age. After working without sleep during the downed MH17, he deserves a break. Come home, a fresher person. He's gota trusted deputy to oversee the country while he's away.
ReplyDeleteYes the PM and his immediate family is entitled to go wherever they want for their holidays. But only at his own expense, right Datuk and not on the nation especially on private jet paid for the nation ? And with undeclared luggages just like the ex-PM of Thailand with his 58 piece of luggages of currency ?

ReplyDeleteI am not at all shock that you think like a monkey, act like a monkey and talk like a monkey.
Tell us what kind of PM you have when he can go missing for a stretch of 17 days. If he is on holidays, why is it so difficult to say so. If he is on working trip, why is he keeping silence. If he is neither, gosh he must be sleeping in his job then. If he is not interested in his job, he might as well just resigned. Lest you forgot is that as PM, he benefitted well both with his official and unofficial incomes.
Well, I don't expect you to answer rationally because monkey like you can't think well.
Congratulations on your new appointment, Datuk Nuraina.
