The long-awaited arrival of the protege

In the latest issue of Fast Bikes, I spotted this news about Tony Fernandes and Din Meranun planning to make this wild-looking bike show in this picture. I tell you, if the bike works as great as it looks, a lot of Malaysians are going to let bygones be ...

Same goes with the newly-elected duo at MCA. If new president Liow Tiong Lai and his deputy Wee Ka Siong can show the world that they can work together, the party should be off to a great new year and many will be more than willing to let bygones be.

I've not had the chance to know Wee better (Annie says h e r e he's a tad arrogant) but Liow I have known for more than two decades, from when he was the Press Secretary to the then Human Resources Minister, Lim Ah Lek. The last time I met Liow in Bentong on nominations day before PRU13, Liow was as he'd always been - unassuming, hardworking, and seemingly anxious about what the next moment would bring. What I still like most about Liow is the fact that he is moderate in his ways as well as his views. Which I think will go a long way in helping bring back the old spirit of the Umno-MCA potent partnership ...

Most importantly, Liow can always seek guidance from Ah Lek, who is a fine gentleman, an incorruptible Malaysian and, to a lot of people, probably the best president MCA never had.

Birds of feathers flock together ao are all those at the meeting and that is what the two of them are. But most important of all the outcome of the elections must be what Najib and all the Umno warlords had wanted.
Already proven to be ass kissing lackeys and no doubt will continue to be ass kissing just so they can continue to be appointed in the cabinet. At least one portfolio in the cabinet is kept vacant for one of them and the other will no doubt be given a well paying position in the present regime.
These two have no shortage of their 'royalty' to Najib and will continue to endorse whatever policies Najib and the Umno warlords will propose or implement. These two lackeys will ensure their appointments will see the end of MCA and help to end BN as tenants of Putrajaya. Didn't I tell you that the real worry for the warlords of Umno is not the Chinese but their own kind. This is especially with the people who you recently revealed are scumbags and enemy of the Malays or should I say the Malays in Umno !

Eh? Am I not supposed to say that these are cinababi who should be sent back to tongsan ASAP?

There are good cinababi and bad cinababi, you mean?

Don't confuse me now, OK. I've been paid to spray online venom at the whole cinababi community as a whole for months, in order to rally melayu sentiment against them and thus consolidate umno power...and now this???

    Gua ethically conflicted, wor.

    Parameswara,

The Dato is saying that Mr. Lim Ah Lek "should" have been made the president of MCA, although as we all know he was once the vice-president of that body. The Dato is suggesting this by means of figurative speech.

    You are all right.
I never read it correctly, and ironically can still quote ' best president MCA never had' in my posting.

    Stupid indeed.
    Sorry Dato' Rocky.

  9. I hope MCA will come out strong. This party has been unsucessful due to internal problem and I hope the new president has the work cut for him.
It is certainly difficult to manage the Chinese party, since their party'member aspiration is different and fluid.
Good luck to the New President.

Liow came a long way. He deserves it considering his political career almost came crashing during the party extraordinary general assembly recently. And the attacks he had to endured during that period just makes the victory even more sweet. With all those insults, crude remarks being splashed in newspaper front pages, lt just hardened his resolve and grit to keep on fighting. He survived the scare and had prooved his mantle. Things that didnt kill you just make you stronger. He is now the undisputed leader of the second largest race based party. Democratically elected leader of MCA and no one could take that away from him. Good luck bro. All the best wishes.

Jadi, itu umnok cakap sama gua: "We need you to create racial hatred towards the Chinese in your blog, in order to scare the Malays back into voting for us, despite the increasingly obvious fact that we are a bunch of incompetent crooks who are just lining our pockets with the rakyat's wealth." Gua tak begitu tak paham apa dia cakap, sibab gua lulus Standard 5 saja, di SJKC Patang Perjuntai. Tapi adak paham siki-siki, lah.

Standard Operating Procedure Red Bean Army lah.....hentam dulu ke, fitnah habis habisan lah dulu.....kemudian minta maaf lah.....tapi.....never in sincerity sepenuhnya.

Typical kurang ajar sama macam itu anjing ooi sekor kat utara tu.

Dato Rocky......just my curiosty lah....last PRU13 what percentage of the Cina vote really goes to MCA/BN compared to the percentage that goes to Dap?.

Seriously do you really think the Cina votes can swing back to MCA/BN in next PRU14 given the notion that Cina chauvinist are very racist in nature and the evengelist are now politically inclined as can be read in blogs when these evengelist should by right only confine their activities in the church only.

Liow and Wee have a huge boulder ahead of them. They should now hit the ground running. They have 3 years to prove themselves. They are not being chosen to occupy places high up there to spread out their legs and enjoy the perks. Those times are long gone.
The morale of the members now is at all time low. The party is beaten to a pulp. The party needs true and genuine leaders to boost the spirit of its members. This term would be a true test of Liow-Wee. Everyone now watching their every move. Anyone can steer the ship through calm water but not everyone is equipped to handle the steering when the sea get rough and monstrously dangerous. If they could get MCA back to its feet and throw punches like they used to, MCA will comes out stronger than ever. In fact even stronger when it was first founded. MCA should change from being reactive to being pro-active. No more Mr. Yes man when it comes to Chinese interest. They should now aggressively championing their interest especially when the Malays now have started to make them their bogeyman.

Doubt that Liow will be able to hold the party together now with an almost equal faction from CSL. Don't forget the taikor-tycoons with their abacus - nothing comes free.
