Salallahu alahi wasalam.
Today Muslims all over the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Peace be upon him.
Peace be upon you.

TRUTH does not stand on majority/minority/numbers factor, for TRUTH stands alone. I simply don't believe the empty and meaningless rituals of the maulidur rasul celebration! Love and respect for the Prophet Muhammad SAW is more meaningful and genuine when one believes and adhered dutifully to the "WAHYU" God The Almighty revealed through Muhammad SAW, ie. the Quran .... minus all the religious man-made DOGMAS, superstitions and mindless religious absurdities!

    Salam maulidur Rasul.

I have read a few Notes and Comments from those Ulama' who were trained in Saudi and Mesir. They all say that the current approach to maulidulRasul is an attempt to emulate Christmas Day Happening. Can anyone out there give a better picture. In Islam, takshub is a big question mark. We are not supposed to takshub to any other but Allah. To go on the road and chant Salawat Nabi is vanity and Allah rejects vanity.

From what I have been taught, the correct term is Maulidur Rasul. Maulud Nabi, translated to Arabic, doesn't mean the prophet's birthday, apparently...
