Anonymous donor. Last Friday an old friend called up to hand over RM5,000 in cash from a good Samaritan who was moved by the plight facing Corporal Khalid Che Rus, the cop who woke up last month from a year-long coma after a hit-and-run.
I should be passing the donation later today to blogger Mahaguru, who highlighted Khalid's plight here. (My own posting here).
Anyone interested to help Khalid's family, pls check details at Mahaguru's blog or contact me directly at rockybru@gmail.com. Politicians won't be turned away. Thank you.

On behalf of DAP, PKR and PAS I am representing them and seeking the MOE to agree to be their agent to collect back all the study loan taken by MARA students since it first started. I am doing it for free and 3% of all collection will be put into a fund to help the cop and future cop having the same problem.

Received the RM5000 in cash from you yesterday afternoon @ 3.30pm at the Royal Lake Club driveway ~ 8.30pm handed over the donation to Corporal Khalid's wife witnessed by the OCPD of Ampang Jaya, Tuan ACP Abdul Jalil Hassan, his S.I, friends and families at Corporal Khalid's barracks.
The handover video is being uploaded to You Tube and will be published in my blog by tonite.
Thanks a zillion for what you have done Dato!
Bloggers can do good like this if we set our hearts and minds to it.

Kenapa Malaysia beralah? Takkan mudah sangat Letgo Tanjung Pagar kepada Singapura? Najib tak de telur ka? Singapura sudah pegang telur Najib?
Dalam paper hari ini ada tulis pasal Khazanah dan Temasek akan JV 50:50 untuk membangunkan projek "iconic wellness" di JB. Tanah telah dikenal pasti berkeluasan 202ha di Nusajaya. Yang tidak dilapurkan oleh paper ialah itu ler tanah di Medini (dulu panggil Node 1) yang Pak Arab "pulang" balik to Khazanah. Pak Arab tak mahu, letgo kepada Singapura. Betul la projek di JB macam projek LetgoLand. Apa desperate sangat Khazanah hendak duit sampai kena gadai tanah senang lenang kepada Singapura.
Tolong bagitahu Tun Mahathir tentang perkara ini sebelum satu JayBee digadaikan kepada Cina2 Singapura. Mana gua hendak duduk nanti?

Najib and Lee all smiles after sealing KTMB land deal

SINGAPORE: Malaysia and Singapore have broken a 20-year impasse on the status of KTM Berhad (KTMB) land in the island republic, with leaders of both countries declaring they could now smile and move their bilateral relationship forward.
Malaysia will move its railway station at Tanjung Pagar to Woodlands. In exchange, three parcels of KTMB land — at Tanjung Pagar, Kranji and Woodlands here — would be jointly developed by a company.

Najib said the agreement reached at yesterday’s retreat was historical and “we see light at the end of the tunnel.”.
“We are both smiling,” he said.
Standing beside Najib, Lee said it was an occasion to rejoice.
“Both of us got a good deal. I think both of us are quite happy and it benefits both sides.
In a joint statement issued after the leaders’ retreat, they announced that the KTMB station would be relocated to Woodlands by July 1, 2011. Malaysia’s customs, immigration and quarantine facilities will also be located there.
A company known as M-S Pte Ltd would be set up by Dec 31, with Khazanah Nasional Berhad holding a 60% stake and Singapore’s Temasek Holdings Limited holding 40% to develop six parcels of land totalling 271ha.
Three of the parcels are in Tanjung Pagar, Kranji and Woodlands.
The other three are in Bukit Timah.
The developed KTMB land could in turn be swapped, on the basis of equivalent value for land in Marina South and Ophir Rochor in Singapore.
The leaders also said a rapid transit system (RTS) between Tanjung Puteri in Johor Baru and Singapore would be jointly developed and integrated with public transport services in Johor Baru and Singapore.
The RTS would be operational by 2018.
