Kejutan buat Umno!

update, 3/3/2009
The duo, however, denied that the injunction was being planned to stop Abdullah Ahmad Badawi from handing over power to Najib Tun Razak. Read here.

Original posting:

Esok 3 mac 2009 jam 1.00 t.hari ada kejutan buat umno di one world hotel one utama pj. Sila datang dan luangkan masa. Sebarkan tq

Court injunction to delay Umno assembly (and Pak Lah's departure)? The sms came yesterday afternoon on my way to Penang. I asked a couple of Umno bloggers about the kejutan. A Voice says a group linked to Ku Li, who caused the big Umno split two decades ago, could announce seeking a court injunction to defer the Umno general assembly scheduled for the last week of this month. Find out the intrigues here.

Hebat puak-puak ni.

It will be good if UMNO can be dissolved by the court.
Most people do not hate UMNO but do you know how much people hate the UMNO leaders.
Go and find out from the grass root members what they have been keeping deep in their heart.
The members have tried to remind the leadership but they were ignored. Don't blame Pak Lah but go and feel it yourself.
    DON'T CRY FOR ME OHHH..UMNO!!!

but when umno defend the sultan, then it is a BIG KEJUTAN. why terengganu issue different with Perak?

If the UMNO Secretariat has followed all the stated procedures in the UMNO constituition, there is no logical ground for the court to grant the injunction.

Ku Li and his band of has-beens are out for some cheap publicity.

Common Ku Li,Kadar Shah,Azman Harun etc, your time has passed, retire and let the younger people do their job.

Don't make a mess out of an already messy state of affairs.

"Old wine is far better than young ones" So to those young cocks, who despise and insult the wisdom of the old, you are just a kuran ajar dickheads.
Ku Li may be older, his brain is far superior and knowledgeable than most of the young cocks who post their comments. Does Islam religion, teach you to show disrespect to others, who may not share your views?

SUKJ ni satu lagi budak masih dibuai mimpi 'nightmare' PRU-12.
KJ seropa cilaka dajai hang tau dak. Balachi Si Nuaq tu lah yang dok bawa badi. Sampai hati dia buat lagu tu sampai kan akar umbi pi undi parti lawan.
Takpa nanti Najib naik kena sembelih la tu. Deserving la kan.
I guess what KJ is going to miss the most when he is not around, is the toll gate collection kat pintu MoF.
Tapi aku ghasa la kan dia tu masih banyak duit. Perwakilan semua masih kena kirim wang kan. Hmmm politik haram jadah.

I am surprised that you are surprised. Most people predict that Abdullah Badawi will still be premier after March. This is utterly commonsensical. I don't think UMNO members are stupid enough to allow someone who is clearly worse than AAB (Najib) to run the show, resulting in the ruin of the party. AAB is the lesser of two evils.

  38. Wow that will be great if Najib will be kept waiting and, while waiting, Pakatan Rakyat can find something sinister which he did. I'm sure that would not be to tough as thre are many to chose from. Then Pak Lah will stay as PM then, someway somehow Ku Li will become the next UMNO president and Malaysian PM.COOL!!! Second scenario is Anwar can buy more time and toppled the federal government while UMNO members are confused and disunited, and be Malaysia PM.COOL!!!Let hope that one of them will happen so that Malaysia will have a better future, free from the claws of the abusive, corrupt and selfish(among many other negative traits, feel free to add)UMNO leaders leaning towards Najib.Horeee for Malaysia!!!

Get the facts right first before telling the story.

    Read this:

    Extracted from:

    The People’s Parliament
We are here, not because we are law-breakers; we are here in our efforts to become law-makers - Emmeline Pankhurst

    Siapa bunuh UMNO?
    March 4, 2009

The title of this post is similar to the caption of a poster that adorned the wall in the reception area of the law firm that I chambered at in 1990 and later worked as a legal assistant for a number of years, and was later made a partner.

Below that caption was a picture of Bapa Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Regrettably, I cannot recall the full text that appeared in the poster, as a quote from Tunku.

Tunku was of course referring to the events that followed the disgraceful fiasco that the UMNO elections of 1987 was, when Dr M pipped Ku Li to the presidency by a majority of 43 votes, in an election that the losing party alleged was rigged.

The losing team went to court to have the elections declared null and void and, as it turned out, the High Court declared UMNO to be an illegal entity given the existence then, of unregistered branches.

The order of the High Court effectively severed the jugular vein of UMNO.

    UMNO was rendered dead!

    Dr M’s solution?

He registered UMNO Baru, which is the present day entity everyone calls UMNO, minus the ‘Baru’.

The decision of the High Court was appealed to the Supreme Court.

If the appeal succeeded, it would mean that the original UMNO would be resurrected.

This would then mean the end for Dr M as, by the terms of the constitution of the original UMNO, Dr M having already joined a new party, to wit, UMNO Baru, his membership in the original UMNO would ipso facto terminate.

Dr M could not allow this to happen.

In the Supreme Court, Tun Salleh, it seems, was minded to fix the UMNO appeal to be heard by a full bench of the Supreme Court.

This was bad news for Dr M.

The more judges sitting to hear the appeal, the more difficult to fix the outcome of the same.

That was why Tun Salleh had to go.

So that UMNO would remain dead and buried.

Tunku was clear in his mind that Dr M, for his own selfish reasons, had dealt the fatal blow on the UMNO that was formed in 1946.

I thought you might want to be appraised of this perspective given the take by Rocky that it was Ku Li who caused the big UMNO split two decades ago.

UMNO was split when the party when to the polls in 1987.

    There was a already a Team A and a Team B.

UMNO was already split by then.

The narrow margin of Dr M’s victory is a reflection of the extent of the divide that already existed within the membership of UMNO.

Should Ku Li be blamed for this?

Or was there a revolt within the party against the leadership of Dr M? And should this, then, be rightly seen as the cause of the divide?

If you want a lit bit more background to this, have a read from wikipedia HERE .
