update, midnight: “All components parties must be firm. If any of their members make comments which whip up racial sentiment and cause anger among the races, and which could jeopardise ties between Barisan component parties, they must take disciplinary action." - Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Read The Star's full update Ahmad Ismail's suspension, here.
Original article:
3-year suspension; Stripped of all party posts. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has come down hard on Ahmad Ismail for his "Chinese squatters" remarks, for refusing to apologize, for ripping a component party leader's photograph, for being openly racist.
I hope this news is not received with glee by any party or race, and that it will douse the racial fire that's been scorching our hearts.

Ahmad Ismail gets 3 years

Let's move on and close this bad chapter. Too much energy has been lost over this one man.
ReplyDeleteThis spells the end for the PM who hails from Penang. Ahmad is free to campaign for a much better candidate for President without the fear of being sacked!
ReplyDeleteWow - what a 'sacrifice', as you term it. A suspension for likening the chinese to Jews who want to control politics and the economy, for openly asking for a component party to leaver BN. Badawi is a joke. Nobody bothers to listen to him anymore. But i will be forever grateful for him because if not for his tremendous weakness, half of the nonsense that has now been unearthed about the corruptionin the government would not have emerged.
ReplyDeleteFYI - there isn't nor has there ever been any 'racial fire' stoking in my heart. From your post, it is obvious that it is in yours.
And because of this, i will never return to this blog ever again.
You have no credibility left.
Mike
Hopefully AAB does not flip flop again.

ReplyDeleteIts politics, i dont feel anyone out there has a "burning heart" on the latest fiasco and its an internal BN matter, so i for dont subscribe to your latest post like many others that i know.
The fact of the matter is we are all migrants and have settled here for hundreds if not thousands of years, its been recorded.
So, i guess none of us is superior nor inferior to each other.
As usual, politics of race and religion yang bikin keadaan tak senonoh, dah la tak laku and its time we move on.
For those of you who have nothing better to do than incite racial issues, please leave us all alone, we just want to move on with our lives and focus on bread and butter issues.
shalom.
TOWARDS A NON RACISM. bolehkan:)
Bodowi takut,,,Home Affair Minister kasi ISA itu orang,,Bila kaum India bising kasi tangkap,,,mana fair,,!! mintak2 Gerakan keluar BN.

Poor Ismail. He was just telling the truth, nothing but the truth. Malaysia was formerly known as TANAH MELAYU. The Malays sacrifice by changing the name to Malaysia. Perhaps it should be change back to Tanah Melayu. To those who look at Ismail as Racist, dont look anywhere, you are a racist too. Who IS NOT? Especially when someone is trying to deny your right in your last frontier, your own mother soil! Takkan Melayu hilang di dunia. Fire must be fight with FIRE.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I hope this will settle the problem and everyone can forget it and get on with their lives in harmony. No more racial divisions please.

ReplyDeleteIn Memory of Ahmad Ismail & His Ilk as a Potential UMNO Leader/s - Racist to the Core
CHANGE FOR THE BETTER (OR BE DAMNED & ROT IN HELL)
Well, I cannot blame those members of Gerakan and MCA for their dilemma now. Both respective parties are now far too weakened compared to the Chinese-dominant DAP, which has 28 MPs. The MCA and Gerakan will become minor insignificant partners of BN in the opposition in the event the Pakatan Rakyat comes to power; or if they remain independent, a feeble voice in the wilderness.
The truth is, the Malaysian political landscape has changed dramatically after the March 8 elections. I hope UMNO members are also reading this: for if they do not realise what Malaysians want, they too will be in dilemma eventually. Unless they prefer to bring about another May 13 again like they did before, imposing emergency rule and thus perpetrating themselves in power.
As for Gerakan and MCA, it is sad to say that the options open to them are now extremely limited. It is always important for members of political parties to know when to act. If they acted late or halfheartedly, then there is nothing much to be salvaged. Take Gerakan as an example. I am sure Gerakan members and some of their leaders were unhappy and dissatisfied with their senior partner in BN, viz, UMNO, long before the last election. However, neither their leaders nor their rank and file acted in unison. If Gerakan had pulled out of BN before the March 8 election and joined the Pakatan then, they will not only survive the election but also win more seats than before. Unfortunately they did not act and now, even if they were to pull out, what can they do. If they were to act alone, they will suffer further now. Besides any belated action now will only help the BN (more so UMNO) as they will dilute the opposition votes. If they join the Pakatan, how are they suppose to demand for seats in the next election. Would PKR and DAP be willing to release the seats for them to contest. Therefore, I do not blame Gerakan for their predicament at this critical juncture in time.
As for the other Chinese-dominant component in the BN, sometimes I wonder whether MCA is a political party or a kopitiam talkshop. Every step taken by UMNO which were not race neutral, goes unchallenged and we only hear wimpish protests here and there. Yes, the MCA's former and present leadership said they always discuss sensitive issues behind closed doors and argue privately as they call it an internal matter and not wanting to wash dirty linen in public or hurt the feelings and sentiments of their UMNO brethren. But public perception of the outcome is always very important and it goes to show that whatever tactic and method adopted by MCA, they failed miserably to gain public trust and confidence. In spite of that they did not change. After many years, from a strong second partner, playing second fiddle anyway, they are reduced to just another minor partner in the coalition. This is not only bad for MCA but also UMNO as you can see in the recent election. The voting public, especially the Chinese, perceived UMNO as the big bullyboy.
To MIC, I also wonder if the members realise that their party is no longer relevant in the changed environment. I hope UMNO members will also learn from this episode before it is too late for them. Same for IPF and all the other minor Indian parties. I suppose the only noble and logical thing for UMNO to do is to call for a merger of UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan et al into a single multi-racial party. This will not only solve the dilemma of Gerakan and MCA but also show and convince Malaysians at large the sincerity of UMNO in wanting to adopt changes and reforms to solve the country's problems; and evince UMNO's sincerity to ban racial politics per se.
Whatever the case may be:
Malaysians are sick of RACIAL & RACIST POLITICS
Malaysians are sick of INERTIA & INACTION
Malaysians are sick of NO CHANGES & REFORMS
Malaysians are sick of CRONYISM & CORRUPTION
So for all members of UMNO, MCA, GERAKAN, MIC, IPF and all the Sabah and Sarakan political parties, the political survival of your parties depend on your actions and or inactions. Champion for a single multiracial party and elect non-racist leaders (regardless of their race) to lead Malaysia into a new era of change and reforms. If UMNO members put the country above themselves, Malaysians at large will certainly response to them. So my fellow Malaysians from all the political parties in BN, it is now up to you to act decisively or never. If you remain passive and nothing is done, I am certain UMNO will suffer the same fate as Gerakan, MIC, MCA and IPF. Similar to those political parties in Sabah and Sarawak. We Malaysians are watching your every move and every step.
I do not agree that Ahmad Ismail was a mole planted by DSAI as speculated by some pundits. If that was the case, you could argue so many before him who utter racist statements were also moles and agents provocateur. But they were not. They were mere opportunists.
The fact remains that Malaysia is still a less-developed country that practice narrow-minded racial politics. Such racist practices are endorsed at the highest level of the Malay-centric leadership, meaning UMNO and their myopic Ketuanan Melayu ideology. That is why I said, we are still a long way to achieving developed-country status. Unless and until the leadership in this country have the political will and courage to take a bold step in banning racial politics, we will continue to have Malay, Chinese and Indian leaders practising racial politics which is woefully unfortunate. These are not true leaders of foresight but short-term opportunists. As you know, the respective parties' elections are just around the corner and those vying for higher positions within the party would want to be seen to be very vocal and buffoonish in championing their own ethnic rights. So going against another race will be seen as defending their own race. Remember bathing the keris in Chinese blood episode.
I hope the members of those racial parties are mature enough to vote for farsighted leaders who will bring about goodwill and harmony in this country. If all the members did that, they will send a STRONG MESSAGE to their leadership that they do not condone or tolerate racial politics. This is one way to bring our country together. Remember members of Malay, Chinese and Indian parties, please put the country above all else and bring about positive development to our beloved country. BAN AND ABOLISH RACIAL POLITICS.
In politics somehow we expect to see a perfect personality as a poltical leader. We all know such people are virtually non-existent but we continue to have such expectations. This is not just unique in this country as such expectations are the same all over the world. So unless our perceptions altered or something dramatic changed within us which I doubt, we still expect our leaders to be "perfect". In this context, it is very unfortunate that Dr Chua Soi Lek does not fit in this category. I salute him for his quick action to admit his guilt. But the fact remain that what he did was wrong and morally unacceptable in the public eye. So my advice to Dr Chua is to move on. If you want to be in politics, you have to play power-broker and curry favour and influence in the background. Believe me, you will only weaken the party further if you struggle to take over the MCA's leadership.
I am not saying the others are far better than Chua Soi Lek. It could be just that they are not caught or they were lucky. As for Ong Tee Keat, well he looks good for the job - with the reform agenda in mind. But MCA is a grossly weakened party and I do not know how much he can possibly do to revive and rejuvenate the MCA's fortunes once he inherits it. Personally, I think any leader who took over the helm in MCA should engage actively with UMNO and other BN parties to merge into a single multi-racial party. I believe both Ong Tee Keat and Chua Soi Lek have advocated this concept in their own different ways. But this would be the natural way to go for the long term survival of BN.
As for Koh Tsu Koon, I believe he is a very nice man. Too nice, in fact, to be in politics. Whatever, he failed in his leadership role in Gerakan. He should consider retiring from the political arena and goes into education which I believe, he will be more eminent and successful. As for Gerakan, as I have mentioned before, I think Gerakan has lost its raison d'etre and relevance. The only logical step for them is to advocate for a single multi-racial party. They could take the initiative to start with the rest of the smaller parties within BN; and hopefully this could influence the other major parties in time to come. But in politics, time is of the vital essence.
Today, I feel very sad and disappointed to see the boorish and ill-mannered behavior of those UMNO members led by Ahmad Ismail in Penang. They are pushing racial politics to the fore again. Which is very dangerous and unhealthy for the country. I hope this will never happen again. As long as this country endorses racial politics, you will have in future another Ahmad Ismail clone, and yet more of his ilk, again giving racist statements to incite and inflame racial hatred and resentment among the communities. It will encourage the other races doing the same. That is why such parties should be stopped right in their tracks and abolished. Believe me, if UMNO were to take the bold and courageous role to merge all the parties into one single multiracial party, they will put the Pakatan in a spot. They will move from being a weak and battered party to a predominant leadership role again within BN. But will they? I am positive Malaysians, be they Malays, Chinese, Indians or whoever, will response to this very positively. If BN fail or do not response decisively they will lose the next election. But they must have another May 13 in mind for us?
SO MALAYSIANS regardless who you are, please send a STRONG AND CLEAR MESSAGE to your respective leaders that you do not CONDONE or TOLERATE racial politics. By doing so, you should vote all myopic politicians and racist leaders out from your respective parties.
Thanks to Taiping06 for the above analysis.
Sincerely, from everydog has his day
And shall the 13 divisions chiefs who stood by Ahmad Ismail quit then?
ReplyDeleteNot enough!! Hope the police take action also...baru la Justice.
ReplyDeleteBro, I think the time has come to remind all in Malaysia, instead of clapping and bertepuk dada, we should be sad that this has come to pass. For this to be allowed to happen speaks for a lot. Politicians have to be taught and made aware of the basic priciples immaterial of race religion and party politics of this country.
ReplyDeletemaybe this might make them grow up and take responsibility of their actions.

If this guy is other than an UMNO member he will detain under ISA already. Maybe ISA is not applicable to UMNO bigshots??
ReplyDeleteman tanjong.
No expulsion?

For all what's worth, all Malaysians need to move on ahead. Let it be a closing chapter to learn somthing for ourselves and our children. Many would not forget. Yet others would not forgive. But that was yesterday. We are all living in the present and for the future. So let's all make the days and years ahead better and brighter for the good of each and everyone and this Nation.

ReplyDeleteWhy the double standard by this GOVERNMENT?
If it had been PAS DAP or any of the bloggers, the police would have paid a visit and make an arrest and charged for racial incitement.
No, for a seditious act, tearing the photo of a leader of a component party of Govt, it is a slap on the wrist.
Ahmad Ismail should have been SACKED from UMNO, and arrested and charged in court for RACIAL INCITEMENT.
Pak Lah has made UMNO person as MORE EQUAL than others.
Why should Ahmad Ismail above the law while Raja Petra is being pulled up?
Malaysians are not happy with glee but sad for allowing Ahmad Ismail to get away so easily for his highly inflammatory remarks at the Chinese Malaysians.
Now, we got our leaders saying that this guy Ahmad's statement incite racial hatred and thought it to be fit to suspend him for 1000 over days from the Malay party. So if the leaders of Mlaysiaalready deemed what this Ahmad said was wrong then why police has not arrested this guy?
ReplyDeleteLittlebird
hello brader,
ReplyDeleteitu pun you boleh kata good kah?
dia sepatutnya masuk ISA nie..
come on la brader, what is 3 year suspension?
ini incite racial hatred sure mesti kena prison lagi betuiiii...
_the righteous fighter_
What about Zainol Abidin Hashim who tore Tsu Koon's picture? :o
ReplyDeleteAlp
He should be stripped off his Datuk title too. Racist are not fit to be Datuk.
ReplyDeleteI think he got off rather easy. This low ranking UMNO warlord should be charged under the Sedition Act, better still if he is remanded under the ISA so that he can get a taste of the spartan lifestyle of Kamunting like what the Hindraf 5 is undergoing.
ReplyDeleteThe govt should also write to the Governor of Penang to revoke his Datukships. I heard he has two!

ReplyDeleteTheStar reports from Singapore.
ReplyDeleteMuhyiddin: PM should step down before 2010 (updated)
SINGAPORE: Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi should rethink his transition plan to step down by 2010 as the timeframe was too long.
The transition plan revealed by Abdullah two months ago, he claimed, had “sunk away” and people were not thinking about it any more.
“The year 2010 is too (far away),” he told a news conference on the sidelines of the Forbes Global CEO Conference here on Wednesday.

I wonder if an American Indian who is also a Democrat said that Obama is a 2nd generation immigrant, is he going to be called a racist and striped of his rights of being a Democrat for 3 year. Orang Melayu tak bising kalau tak diusik. Ingatlah pepatah Melayu, dah dibetis nak peha.
ReplyDeleteLooking on the bright side, Ahmad will now have more time to spend with his family.
ReplyDeleteI wish him Happy Retirement because in politics 3 years is an eternity.
3 years suspension, stripped of party post. I am not sure if you can call this coming done hard on apa nama dia.
ReplyDeleteBased on the earlier post that suggest this guy actually work for Anwar, it planin stupid of UMNO to him be a member. You are just open the door for someone to subvert the party.
Not sure Sun Tze will agree with this.
no glee.... just "bteer late than never"

ReplyDeleteIngat tak PM's first words on the matter were " he didn't mean what he said..." and "I'll talk to him" , bla bla with all the excuses
If left to him I'm sure the guy will go off scott free
mat taib
Hm, looks like Badawi just set up something for Ahmad, his foes in UMNO... and also for Dr.Mahathir.
ReplyDeleteLets see what happens.
This is more than it meet the eyes. Who is Ahmad Ismail? Has anybody heard of this fellow before this incidence. He is nothing but a ikan bilis or kucing kurap. But he has the guts to take on badawi and najib and not forgetting the whole barisan.
ReplyDeleteI am betting my last ringgit that this kucing kurap is being back by somebody who is even more powerful than badawi and najib. Your guess is as good as mine.
malaichai
3 years is UMNO's punishment. There are still many police reports. I hope he is not more equal than others. The police must go for him.
ReplyDeleteBro Rocky, it' so sad that it actually has to come down to this. If only all Malaysians see each other as Malaysians and nothing else, we won't be faced with nonsense like this today. As you rightly pointed out, Ahmad's suspension is not something for the liberals to celebrate. Instead, it would make more sense for us to introspect and start believing in Bangsa Malaysia. It's high time...
ReplyDeletechun wai is worse than the penang guy. penang guy made a remark taht deem as insulting and hurtful to other race, but your friend chunwai up himself by making insulting and hurtful remarks about other religion.
ReplyDeletewho's who of malaysian adults are mostly stupid, unpatriotic, childish, immature, disgraceful. Shame!!!

It ok Ahmad. You are a true hero and you are right Why appologised for a hole not digged by you.History will never changed. Let me quote here:- Three friends Mr M, Mr C and Mr I went to Europe. While strolling round the street the tumble upon a young caucasian couple. An here is the story:-
ReplyDeleteCouple;- Hi.. I m Linda and this is George. We are from Spain.
Mr M,C,and I:- Hi.. Nice to meet you. We are from Malaysia.
Couple:- Malaysia..Mahathir Mohammad.
Mr M,C and I:- Oh great man.. you khow him
Couple :- Yah of course the outspoken Prime Minister, we admirer him. How is that the three of you look differents, I can't tell if you are purely Malaysian
Mr M:- Malaysia is a multi racial country Like me, I m a Malay
Couple :- Oh that great what bout you two guys.
Mr C:- I m a Chinese.
Mr I:-An I m a Indian
Couple:- China and India? How is that you two become a Malaysian when you are a Chinese and you are Indian
Mr C:- Oh.. I am Malaysian Chinese. My great great grandfather come from China and migrated to Malaysia before independence.
Mr I: I a Malaysian Indian. My great grandfather from India. They too migrated to Malaysia before independence
Mr M:- It doesn't matter, we are all Malaysian!
Couple:- That 's the story yeah and its great Malaysia a multi racial country with one of the tallest building the Petronas twin Tower. We will visit there some time next year. We heard that we can get Malay, Chinese and Indian food at one place. We love food you know. By visiting Malaysia we dont have to go China and India just to see their cultural or taste their food. Malaysia trully Asia I guess.
Whatever is it, whoever we are as long as you lived, born here and you have a MYCARD you are a MALAYSIAN. May be one day when we meet such couple we just say We Are From Malaysia and if they asked us How is that you all look differenst, just answered them 'That how Malaysian look likes'
There nothing wrong with the county only the politician are making it look bad for their own interest.
i hope all parties either BN or PR accept the action taken towards Ahmad wholeheartedly.
ReplyDelete3 years is not a short term.plus all his rights in UMNO has been stripped off as well.this is better than to get away with mere warning as before.
hope that this issue will end here.no more talking and speculating over Ahmad's case.just learn from the mistake and move on.
first blame the media, then blame others, now 'suspend' saja, bukan ISA or criminal charge - pegi dah!!!
ReplyDeleteCome down hard? You gotta be kidding me.
ReplyDeleteGlee? You gotta be joking.
What's a three year suspension?
Nothing.
As Ahmad said himself, he will make a comeback.
Ahmad dah kena gantung bro. Orang lain macam mana? Pemimpin Gerakan, MCA, suratkhabar Cina dan Wong Chun Wai macam mana? Mereka tak rasis ke?
ReplyDeleteKepada Wong Chun Wai, the so-called promoter of a Malaysian race.
One question for you: Can you list out how many Malay editors are there in the Star?
Racist bukan saja pada perkataan. Perbuatan juga kena ambil kira beb!
ANTI-RACISM
sometimes, i think people forget that this is the puasa month and the responsibility of the muslims is to 'buat ibadat' and not do things which can put themselves in a bad light. i think ahmad really got what he deserved. he talked about standing up for the Malays but standing up for Malays does not mean tamping down the others. like abdullah said he is a "low class politician' and we cannot agree more. i doubt he ever read a book to improve himself. knowledge is all too impportant nowadays for oneself to move around in political circles. ahmad i think have to make himself look respectable before he can really get people to be on his side. he really needs to do some soul searching.
ReplyDeleteghost of onn jaafar
He's still MP of Bukit Bendera and UMNO's member and a free man with full support of Penang UMNO branches behind him?
ReplyDeleteNo one in the right mind will react with glee. Such racist sentiments espoused by Ahmad Ismail and supported by all 13 Penang UMNO Divisions cannot be so easily forgotten. Are we so naive to think that everyone in Penang UMNO is now remorseful and enlightened? The whole sorry episode merely exposes to the world the deep seated underlying tensions beneath the fragile fabric of multi racial Malaysia. Nonetheless the Prime Minister must be commended for the stern action taken and for denying unequivocally the racist sentiments espoused by Ahmad and his supporters.
ReplyDeletei think this is quite a stern action towards Ahmad.Kudos for Pak Lah for taking such action.
ReplyDelete[quote]He has been stripped of his division chief post and all its rights as a member. Thus, he cannot vote in the coming party elections, cannot contest for posts and will not be able to attend the Umno general assembly during the three-year period.
The suspension is effective immediately[unquote] - the Star
however Lim Guan Eng arent satisfied with such action.but from my point of view,Ahmad should be given one more chance since this is his first offense.
Let's talk about racism. I am a Muslim but NOT a Malay. These are 2different things. I belong to a very small minority group and ALWAYS classify myself under "others". Never have I ever claimed to be a Malay cos I'm not. I'm very proud of my ancestry as my ancestors have contributed much to world history, culture and civilisation. Malays are "midgets" in comparison where world history and civilisation is concerned.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the point is I've been very unfortunate to have experienced discrimination and racism at the hands of BOTH the Malays and the Chinese. I was even denied a scholarship as I was categorically told I should have stated that I am a Malay in my birth certificate. Yet I will not say ALL Malays nor ALL Chinese are racists. Nor do I discriminate against others as my religion teaches me that we are all equal.
Will there be a great difference if another political party takes over? I pray so but I am not optimistic. Think Singapore.
Pessimistic but Hopeful
3 years suspension is just a slap on the wrist. Now, we wait and see if the authorities would use the Sedition Act against him or not.
ReplyDelete3 years on suspension
ReplyDeleteAhmad Ismail defying as ever
He just never wants to learn
A simple apology
It takes to make a man
UMNO takes too long
Losing control of the direction
After much hue and cry
Finally meted out suspension
When other BN parties pressured
For the disciplinary action
UMNO should clean it up
The members who are racists never want to toe the line
Get these people out of the party
If UMNO wants to survive
We are immigrants
Like it or not don’t use it for political expediency
This country we came generations ago
The home to 27 million people
The racists of Ahmad Ismail made up
It shouldn’t be allowed to rear its ugly head
It is better to get these people out into the open
Don’t let them hide behind party skirt
Now the laws should take its course
6 police reports act on it
Don’t discriminate the case
Does it now take him to court?
The news come as no suprise. The score is Gerakan 1 UMNO 0.
ReplyDelete3 years suspension is too little; people detained by ISA simply because they strike for justice; worse still this Mr'Ahmad speaks of racial sentiment, and inciting racial hatred, AND only get 3 years suspension! We are citizen of Malaysia regardless of race! Its democratic country...He shouls be charged with sedition act or ISA, instead of letting him out there speak whatever he wants...he simply couldn't control his mouth!
ReplyDelete"Ahmad Ismail gets 3 years"
ReplyDeleteI don't think this sentence is sufficient. Surely his "crime" is much more serious and demands a much heavier punishment, even dismissal. Further, he remains defiant.
So he can now be a loose cannon now that his membership is suspended. Who controls him now? Does he need UMNO? He says he has substantial support for his behaviour and he appears to be right. So is the problem solved?
Has the UMNO leadership come out of this stronger? Or weaker?
Anwar says next Tuesday folks.
And yet another blunder. The punishment is very harsh and will not go down very well with the grassroots. Ahmad's reaction is superficial since he knows the crowd is strongly behind him. Another sad day for UMNO.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Rocky. All Malaysians should put this affair behind us and move forward
Bila bukan Melayu sentuh soal hak Melayu, katanya tidak perkauman. tetapi apabila orang Melayu timbul sikit soal sejarah mereka, katanya Melayu ni perkauman. Kerana orang Melayu ni terlalu berbudi bahasa, lemah lembut, sopan santun, cakap berlapik, mudah beralah..maka mudah dipijaknya orang Melayu kerana disangka lemah.
ReplyDeleteThis maybe a deliberate move by pak lah to stoke the brimstone. one last throw of the dice.
ReplyDeleteBro,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, this Bkt Bendera 'small fly' NOT even Malay,he is only Indian Muslim or mamak originated from south India, his grand father were pure Indian from India and this 'small fly' only 2nd gen born in Malaysia,so what the hack he is champion Malay??look at his face,no different from MGR-era.We are being conned by him la..
Can we move on from this? The economy is slowing down, inflation is getting worse, the stock market is in ICU, crime is escalating - I think there are more important things for the government to attend to.
ReplyDeleteThats all?!!! That's all that peanut size dickhead got for the ruckus he has caused?! You call this coming down hard on him? You must be blinking bonkers!
ReplyDeleteComing down hard is to kick him out of the party and banned him from joining any other parties or NGOs for the next 10 years and send him to what chairman Mao described as RE-EDUCATION camp! He needs it!
Did you people saw how arrogant and crazy that peanut size dickhead was after he was handed the so called punishment? Did you people hear or read what he said?
I am shocked that the police has not come down on him with ISA!
Have no fear.. This news will not be received with glee by any party or race. This news will be received with more anger! And nope, it will not douse the racial fire that's been scorching our hearts. This will not end until that peanut size dickhead is put away and the keys thrown into the ocean. Such prick is a big danger to the society and a bad devil influence to the younger generation!
Tomorrow, I am going to get some red t-shirts and have them printed in GOLD... 'I'M A PENDATANG AND PROUD OF IT! UP YOURS AHMAD!!
"I hope this news is not received with glee by any party or race, and that it will douse the racial fire that's been scorching our hearts."
ReplyDeleteDear Rocky,
I always like your blog. But I am quite taken aback by your last two posts.
How do you expect any party or race to receive this news? How do you receive a proven criminal (I am not refering to Ahmad Ismail) being punished by the court of law?
Even though I honestly think Ahmad Ismail deserves more severe punishment than just suspension, I doubt this suspension will douse any racial fire. Maybe it will create more. It's in the nature of some groups...

ReplyDeleteIs that all. He still be an unofficial warlord in his bahagian. Its just a gently slap on his wrist.
Dun think that is what MCA, Gerakan and other component parties have in their mind.
bat8
Lucky he wasn't chucked out of UMNO. 3 years is kinda mild ?
ReplyDeleteRPK and Anwar Ibrahim are charged with all sorts of rubbish. This guy, who is clearly seditious gets what ?; a slap on the wrist. Clearly, wholly in keeping with the spinelessness of the BN leadership.
ReplyDeleteWilly
Ahmad Ismail??? Nah, I got no time for this uneducated bigot.
ReplyDeleteBangsar Guy
Ahmad Ismail has received 3 years of suspension, how about his gang of 13?
ReplyDeleteAre they not equally guilty...maybe, with a lighter punishment!
The Home Minister is keeping very quiet with this mad cow. He was very quick to condemn RPK and threaten to charge him on ISA. Will he do likewise, with this egoist, racist UMNO out cast?
I just want a peaceful ramadhan..
ReplyDeleteThats all...
Is that too much to ask for.

Dear Sirs,
RE: 1. COMMONWEALTH ETHNIC INDIAN PEACE LOVING SUBJECTS IN MALAYSIA PERSECUTED BY GOVERNMENT BACKED ISLAMIC EXTREMIST VIOLENT ARMED TERRORIST WHO LAUNCHED A PRE DAWN VIOLENT ARMED ATTACK AND DESTROYED THE KG JAWA MARIAMAN HINDU TEMPLE AT 4.00 A.M THIS MORNING (15.11.2007).
2. APPEAL FOR U.K TO MOVE EMERGENCY U.N RESOLUTION CONDEMNING “ETHNIC CLEANSING” IN MALAYSIA.
3. APPEAL TO REFER MALAYSIA TO THE WORLD COURT AND INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT FOR CRIMES AGAINST IT’S OWN ETHNIC MINORITY INDIANS.
We refer to the above critical matters in Malaysia but which generally gets the least attention locally even by the Opposition parties, NGO’s, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission and the media for this community is generally regarded as politically insignificant, do not draw local or international funding and are deemed not pressworthy. To the contrary the Malaysian government has successfully projected itself to the world as a modern Islamic thinking country which is not true.
The ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia were brought in to Malaysia by the British some 200 over years ago. Since independence in 1957 the Malaysian Indians have been permanently colonialised by the Islamic fundamentalist and Malay chauvinists UMNO led Malaysian government.
Among the recent atrocities committed by this government are as follows:-
1.100 over Indians were slashed and killed by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government in the Kampung Medan mini genocide. Despite numerous appeals, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission has refused to hold a Public Inquiry. The UMNO controlled Malaysian courts struck off a victim’s public interest civil suit for a Public Inquiry to be held without even the said UMNO controlled government having to file in their defence. The UMNO controlled Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police refused to investigate and / or initiate an inquest into the death of at least six Indians in this tragedy despite.
2. Every week one person at average is killed in a shot to kill policy and in every 2 weeks one person is killed in police custody. About 60% of these victims are Indians though they form only 8% of the Malaysian population.
3. In every three weeks one Hindu temple is demolished in Malaysia.
The latest being the demolishment of the Mariaman temple in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, Selangor early this morning (15.11.2007) and the next being the (Mutaiya) Hindu temple in Sungai Petani scheduled for the 29.11.2007.
A violent armed pre down attack at 4.00a.m this morning was launched by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government backed by about 600 police, riot police, Islamic extremist and armed terrorists which completely destroyed this temple.
In an attack two weeks ago, uniformed police, riot police and city Council officers hurled rocks and attacked unarmed Hindu devotees with knives, sticks and iron rods.
At least 20 Hindu devotees were seriously injured and 19 arrested including 4 of their United Kingdom trained lawyers in direct violation of Article 5 (Right to life) Article 8 (Equality) Article 11 (Freedom of Religion) Section 295 (defiling a place of worship), Section 296 (disturbing a religious assembly), 298A(causing racial disharmony) and Section 441(criminal trespass) of the Malaysian Penal Code.
These authorities are plagued by an above the law mindset and in fact liberally take the law into their own hands. These atrocities however does not happen to almost all Islamic places of worship. Please visit www.policewatchmalaysia.com for further and better particulars.
4. State sponsored direct discrimination against the Indians in Public University intakes, Indian (Tamil) Schools, skills training institutes, civil service and private sector job opportunities, business and license opportunities and in almost all other aspects of daily life.
Despite our hundreds of letters, appeals and pleas to the Malaysian King and Sultans, the Prime Minister, Attorney General, Inspector General of Police, Ministers, Chief Ministers and the latest being our letters to the Prime Minister dated 29.10.2007 and 30.10.2007 and to the Attorney General dated 1.11.2007 the Malaysian authorities are only proceeding with greater ferocity and with impunity with very little regard for the Federal Constitution and laws of Malaysia. So please help us.
CONCLUSION
We fear that this peace loving Indian community of Tamil origin having been pushed to the corner and the persecution getting worse by the day may be forced to into terrorism in a matter of time as what has happened to the Sri Lankan Tamils.
APPEAL
On our part we are committed to a peaceful and lawful struggle and pray and appeal that the Government of the United Kingdom:-
1. Moves an emergency United Nations resolution condemning these state sponsored atrocities and persecutions of Malaysian Indians in Malaysia.
2. Refers Malaysia to the World Court and the International Criminal Court for Crimes against it’s own ethnic minority Indians
Thank You,
Yours Faithfully

Bunnie, perhaps it would be better to put his face there too cos we don't want other Ahmads to get offended and walk up to you ... Ahmad is a very common Malay name, y'know.
What about Teresa Kok and the rest of those DAP racist goons? They should be made to apologize too. Double standard as always. Whenever a Malay speaks his mind, he's deemed a racist but whenever a non-Malay does the same, he's a champion of justice. This is bullshit.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Teresa Kok and those Anti-Islam, Anti-Malay DAP goons? Why shouldn't they be made to apologize too? Double standard as always. Whenever a Malay speaks his mind, he is deemed a racist but whenever a non-Malay does the same, he is merely championing his rights. Where is justice?

All Racists Must Be Made To Pay
UMNO and Utusan are usually the one raising sensitive issue and it is close one eye by the police and those in powers...so how now?
ReplyDeleteKalau kalau Ahmad Ismail mengumumkan perletakan jawatan ahli parlimen, bagaimana ?
ReplyDeletePilihanaya kecil lagi..mampukah BN menghadapinya..kluangman
Some people are seriously advocating the use of the ISA/Sedition Act on Ahmad, and not just as a comparison with Raja Petra or other anti-govt bloggers. How hypocritical.
ReplyDeleteIf you're against such draconian laws, then you should be against it even if its invoked against your enemies.
This racial thingy, I blame it on the politicians. We live so peacefully before the Hindraf thingy, before the general election and before the parties' election. Many people in their parties wanted to become heroes. If you don't have any issues to raise to be champion of, just sit down and keep quiet. Don't create troubles. Don't be a politician if you don't have a talent to do so. Why not join Akademi fantasia instead. Or travel around the world in 80 day and make our country proud.
ReplyDeleteBiar ini menjadi satu pengajaran kepada semua. Kita perlu lebih berhati2 dalam berkata2.
ReplyDeleteWOW....Ahmad, u r the man!
ReplyDeleteWhatever they said..just ignore..u r my hero!!
Ahmad just telling the truth...he was referring to PRE-MERDEKA period..He shouldn't b punished for saying the fact!!
(Danealli-leen)
(heha) : ahmad...ahMAD...AHMADs !!
ReplyDeleteaiyah, so many ,which one !?
oh! that WRETCHED bukit tikus ah,
BUT...but 3 short years only 4 causing & almost erupting another 13th man ...@#$%^&* !!

ReplyDeleteIdol worshippers don't belong in our lands. They should pack up and go home where they belong. They've caused enough carnage, corruption, destruction and damage to our once peaceful lands.

Rocky,
ReplyDeleteHahahaha... no! I dont like his ugly face stretched out across my very beautiful well endowed chest!
I suppose from now onwards, when one mention the word pendatang together with Ahmad, everyone can immediately connect to that ugly face.
As for the many Ahmads on the street coming up to me.. well, who eat chili, they feel the heat lor... There is such a Malay proverb right?
well he always say that he defended the malays! then the chinese leader says the same thing and etc etc etc. Are we malaysian or we give priority to race than the country?
ReplyDeletezamri bss
If only this Ahmad guy include the word 'keturunan' It should be 'keturunan pendatang' instead of 'pendatang' ..things won't get out of propotion
ReplyDeleteBTW, why chinese in US/Canada/Australia tak kisah pun dipanggil chinese immigrants tapi kat sini punya la sensitif yg amat....tp bila depa ngata org melayu mcm mcm takpe lak...Dunia dunia..
melayu yg di pijak di tanah sendiri..itupun ramai lagi melayu tak sedar sedar
ps: I hope somebody juga patut buka balik kes Lim Kit Siang and Karpal yg kuang ajaq kat Raja Melayu...ke org selain dari Melayu di kira IMMUNE?
You call this "coming down hard" !!?? He can still hold special advisory position lah...so still can be just as influential.
ReplyDeleteDidn't they sack Sang Kelembai for being critical about the party last time? Didn't Hindraf5 get ISA-ed for asking for equality? So I think this fella deserves more than a mere suspension, don't you think?
Some folks have come up with a conspiracy theory due to the timing of his racist statement, but regardless of what ever the reason was, such ill-mannered utterances should never be tolerated.
Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThe punishment is not befitting the crime, 3 years suspension is just a slap on the wrist. It just goes to show ISA is not applicable to UMNO, it is only for non umno people. Secondly the punishment also reflects how weak Badawi is, at this point. Funny we never heard a word from Shit Hamid the Home Minister, he was so vocal on sodomy but here is a umno goon making serious racial remarks and Hamid has suddenly lost his voice. If MIC,MCA or Gerakan member made such a remark about Malays, it would have been expulsion from BN but this Buto Ahmad gets three years of suspension from voting rights and from holding any post, the Kangaroo court would have come up with more severe punishment, like expulsion from the party. Well we have to forgive Badawi, he is barely keeping his head above water these days. Perhaps umno should have send Buto Ahmad Ismail on a ethic study course overseas, maybe next time he opens his mouth it will not be so foul.
Buto Ahmad
DAP & teressa kok racist ke??tak perasan la..bila tu?
ReplyDeletebudak pening
pendatang!!!!
ReplyDeletedoes that sounds racial to you? You tell me!
Read the comments on most of the blog past 2-3 years, it's racial and malay bashing all over. But utter the word pendatang, a journalist and a polital party goes brou ha-ha, playing the racial card and got everybody wind up
What bout those comments (in blogs) that we malays have been tolerating these past years!!!!
Yes, it might be boring news to some of you---- but i'm really pi**ed with the way PM handling this issue.
tombak
Bro,
ReplyDeleteEverybody who wants the ISA to be abolished, suddenly wants it to be used to imprison Ahmad.
We not only have flip-flop PM, but also flip-flop rakyat... hehehe.
Cheers,

Utusan Meloya is trying to stir racist sentiment. UMNO is playing the racist card as always. Should their license be revoked?

"3 years or 300 years, who cares?" My friend smses me last night.
ReplyDeleteThe situation without doubt will return to normal. Normal and business a usual?
I am not that sure. May be they have made up their mind on certain things...
No..Malaysians are not impressed.
ReplyDeleteMan on the streets are calm ...could not care less...cannot be irritated by race issues anymore.
Ahmad did not do his job well...so he must be punished ..to please...Gerakan and MCA.
Come next election....he will be ready to stand under UMNO's ticket.
You can bet your life on that.
UMNO no more important.
Talk as much as they like.
Malaysians are cool as cucumbers..smarter than all of them
The way I see it, its all a game of politcs. The PM has put it in such a way that everybody can do what they like. He's too busy in love...
ReplyDeleteThen when things get carried away.. ie: Murderer.. Sodomi... Klang MP don't have licence for his renovation and satay stall.. etc etc...
The PM says "Why all the petty stuff here..."
Other ppl say.. The PM is weak, so now we can RULE!!!
I say, current government no matter what the outcome is... must have a "United Front" for their parties, or else they should not be a government in the first place.. let other parties rule instead.
Only a person who has the mind of a "GANGSTER" should be PM. then we can all live in peace because we know that the PM will take care of all of us and fight for Malaysians.. "Malays, Chinese, Indians, Mat Saleh Celup, Expat, PRC, EVERYBODY"
Now all I hear is Mr.20%. Everyone else suffer.
even Public Listed co's are suffering.. ie: "OK!! u got the project... now wheres my 300million?. OK got it Thanks.. AND THEN... Ayo.. sorry broder.. ppl make noise la.. must put on hold first..money I use already la.. my son needs new Ferrari.. he in LONDON now doin his A level.. Why?.. Coz I dont want him to go to local uni... ".. AAEEELEIII!!!

ReplyDeleteAzrul 1:06 AM,
ReplyDeleteCuba terangkan skit macam mana Teresa Kok dgn orang DAP tu "Anti-Islam" dan "Anti-Melayu"?
Bagi contoh yang berbukti skit?
Jangan bukak mulut jer nak menuduh.
Lihat diri kat cermin dulu sebelum komen yek...
Wei saudara saudari sekalian
UMNO as usual mengalah tak bertempat

i hate racist, malays or non-malays. To me, no one has the right to say bad about other races. It is juts for YOU to say, who is good and who is bad. Semua tu hak Allah. And the worst thing is, there is no remorse an not an ounce of guilt from this guy. Haiyaa...gua rasa nak tumbuk jer mamat tuh!Buat bikin malu kaum sendiri jer

ReplyDeletecome on guys....I don care what Ahmad said. All I know I am Malaysian and I am proud of it. Honestly , those deny the chinese as malaysian are loser and pea brained people. They will be left out in the cave when new technology era change the world. Funny part is they don't understand it and feel it. I pity them but they deserved the rude awakening from their deep sleepy head.

PKR has been retained under ISA and 3 news media (including Sin Chew which is no surprise to me)were ordered to explain within 1 week or faced closure. So, the conclusion from the UMNO run government is, rakyay MUST keep listening but must NOT discussing or reporting an important piece of Malaysian "history" conveyed by an UMNOputra, who was "NO racist" and therefore ISA is not warranted. Well, that's their conclusion, lesson taught and learnt and my conclusion is, I will make sure I vote in the next GE, after all that's the only rakyat's right left in the country, enjoy it while it last...
ReplyDelete3 years suspension from party and roaming free in the Malaysian streets to cause more troubles. I think this idiot ahmad should be banished to his origin india together with his senseless thugs who wanted a journalist to be shot. These thugs do not understand the essence of the Malaysian constitution, the constitution do not mentioned bumiputera, pendatang and penumpang. These thugs are the nation No 1 enemies, these thugs are still roaming the nation. Hope the divine will save the nation from these thugs. Long live Malaysia! Son of God & Not Son of Soil
