RPK's breakfast (uninvited) guests

Go to www.myblog-tv.com for our own Yew-Tube by Tony Yew.
Raja Petra released after 2-hour "interview". update 7.30pm
RPK, who runs the Malaysia Today on-line, said the Commercial Crime Division of Bukit Aman had asked him to make a statement with regards to his posting headlined "Let's send Altantuya murderers to Hell".
He refused to make that statement, of course.
The cops gave up (for now, at least) after two hours.
RPK was accompanied by his lawyer, YB William Leong, the MP of Selayang.
Scores of journalists, bloggers and Malaysia Today supporters waited at the entrance of the Bukit Aman.
The MP of Wangsa Maju, YB Wee Choo Keong, arrived just after 5pm. After a brief discussion with Marina, RPK's wife, Wee told her he would try and meet the cops. He asked me to accompany him. Wee took offence when the sentry on duty stepped in front of him and blocked his progress with an elbow.
"Wah, is this a police state now? I don't think we are a police state. Are we a police state?" Wee challenged the sentry's superiors. He said the sentry treated him like a criminal.
"If you can do this to an wakil rakyat," he continued, "what chance does the average citizen," he said, pointing at me, "your guard there will kick him out, hah?"
That's YB Wee for you!
Raja Petra said the cops still had his lap top and computer. He confirmed that he was being investigated under Sedition Act.

"For two hours they tried to make me make a statement. I refused. They threatened to charge me for refusing to make a statement. I told them, go ahead and arrest me or release me right now. And i told them that if they let me walk, I don't want to see their faces again."

RPK investigated under Sedition Act, here.
LATEST!!! 3.25pm
Meet you at 4pm today, like NOW!
Bukit Aman is in a hurry. Marina RPK says the cops have her husband to come to Bukit Aman at 4pm TODAY, and not 11am tomorrow.

updates, 12.15pm

Meet you at Bt Aman, 11am. Spoke to RPK. He's at home. They confiscated his desktop and laptop. And he has been summoned to Bukit Aman (CCID, near the Bank Negara NOT the one near the old British Council, just in case you want to turn up and show your support) to give a statement.
RPK said he'll write something on the incident. From some cybercafe, I imagine.

The cops' visit came days after RPK's last posting on his blog Corridors of Power headlined Let's send the Altantuya murderers to hell.
Read also Tengku Sariffuddin's letter to RPK on that posting h e r e and RPK's response to the DPM's press secretary's letter h e r e.
original posting
I was told that Raja Petra Kamaruddin was visited by six police officers at his home this morning.

I was told they are still there.

Updates later.

    1. That is a 'signal'.

    2. Maybe he will be a Politician after this.

    3. Maybe he can become as a 'Home Minister'...who know?

  4. Ah, the 6 Police Officers wanted to find out in more detail how they can assist in PR forming the New Government.

They complained that they still do not know how to do it, as they had never seen or experienced freedom-to-choose before. Hence the need to seek RPK's Divine Intervention. Together, they may conduct a Joint-Prayer Session before Lunch because they pray at different Mosques.
"May Allah Reform Malaysia" should be the theme.

No harm done here. "Deep Throat" confirm that more and more Police Officers will be queuing up in front of Raja Petra's house, seeking similar advice. Those expected to show up include the ISA, Judicial, and so on, to seek in-depth knowledge on how to rescue this failing country before it is completely run to the ground.

Meanwhile, Mongolia is putting the final touches to the Draft concerning Officially Terminating All Diplomatic Ties with Malaysia, as The Altantuya Case has achieved the Guinness Book of Records for Judicial Procrastination.

  8. The Police don’t want to leave RPK alone
Some postings he did and somebody didn’t like it

The Police Officers came and quick
It was normally on a slow pace
This one could be from somebody
Higher up in the ladder of authority

    They don’t give notice
They just came and knocked on doors
    They don’t show PR skills
They don’t care how they deal

    Though through my career
I had met CPO, OCPD and Inspectors
Sometimes you wonder only friends they are helpful
No friend they leave you aside…..

    Ah that was years ago
    Now I think about RPK
He must be a veteran in Police visiting
    I hope there is nothing……….
    Just a courtesy call….
Anyway I wait for you update

This time his allegations was a VERY serious one. That allegation no doubt put our nation at stake. If he wrote all truth, he has nothing to afraid of. If NOT, he has to face the consequences.

  12. Salam Brader,

Spoke to Marina this morning and was told they have some "uninvited" guests for breakfast. I felt a bit uneasy but glad to know that those guys from Bukit Aman were there to check it on behalf of their bosses. I did a quickie check and was assured that no instruction from Ministry of National Security.

RPK is a tought nut to crack and this new episode may spur him further into the horizon as he always speaks out and wait for the repercussion. In fact, RPK should have accepted to stand for the 12the General Election, though I understand MPs do not have immunity, i.e. if you are naughty and beyond control, they will fix you up and send you to Sungei Buloh.I suppose RPK is mentally prepared for it whatever happens in the next 24 hours. Don't worry they won't blow RPK into pieces like they did to Altantuya and blame Najib and Rosnah for the shit. Be cool Marina and hope this will also strength both of you to carry on the crusade for equality treatment for all by the BN government or even the Pakatan Rakyat government. We are here to saveguard the greater interest of the people and not to gain popularity or make money through our patronage with any political party.

Raja Petra is not "GOD." If he publishes unproven allegations against people to taint their reputation, he should be answerable.

We do have libel and defamation laws in this country. This law applies to everyone and don't let one person believe he is above it.

Everyone think it's funny to take pot shots at people. You will know if one day you become a target. Innocent or not seems to be irrelevant in this cyber age.

    Dear Rocky Bru

'PARTI MELAYU SEMANGAT 46' (Penghormatan buat UMNO LAMA)

Besar kemungkinan hanya ingat-ingat lupa.

The CCID people I talked to does not seem to care about fighting crime, they are talking about if you are 'bold' enough against the other party. The truth and evidence is not important. They only serve orders from higher up.

Next door lies the Cyber Crime unit also equally screwed up. People who have failed ESP where they will be able to tell if you a in the wrong without investigation. After talking to a friendly party, they will be able to name you in the wrong. If they are really that 'good', we would be very thankful but wait a minute, they are but a bunch of unprofessional bullies. How else would you want to classify enforcers who make pre-conceived judgement of a person without proper investigation and indulge in favouritism (or kow-timism)?

This time around, I think RPK has gone overboard. In his passion for controversial news, he has put our country on par with the Pol Pot regime. He has to prove all the allegations, otherwise he has to face the music.

I'm not going to walk with him this time, unless he proves that he is right from the beginning.

  29. Are they going to question the editor of asiasentinel.com too, as they have insinuated as much regarding Najib? This is beyond the shores of Malaysia now and we have to accept that all are free to voice their views and raise questions. In fact it is Najib who must answer our questions point for point and not use the police to shut us up. The questions are relevant based on facts and he can always volunteer to be called as a witness in order to clear his name.

This is what they will try to pin him down with:

One such case concerns Lim Guan Eng, a parliamentarian released in August 1999 after serving 12 months of an 18 month prison sentence, who was found guilty of sedition for prompting 'public dissatisfaction with the administration of justice'. He had publicly questioned the Attorney General's handling of a statutory rape case involving a government minister and a 15-year-old girl. In imposing the sentence, Appeal Court judge Gopal Sri Ram was quoted as stating, "it is time the court send a clear message that it cannot to tolerate any attack on the judiciary".

It does not take much to take a step back, think objectively and not hastily past judgement based on what u read.

Does that mean people can't discuss about this on-going trial even at kopitiams? or at saloons while getting their hair cut? or while taking a dump in a public toilet?

Netizens 'kiss' and 'throw staplers' at each other on the Net. Does that mean we're should give statements at the balai.

which is much more important, to nab the killer of nurin and like victims or to nab Najib?

I think it would be correct(correct, correct) if the police authority can explain and cite the exact nature of the Sedition Act being applied in this case. It's really strange that what RPK wrote can come under the Sedition Act and not under other more obvious Act. Rebel against the state? I can't figure it out. This goverment guy thinks he is the state and the state is him? 50 years of governing has made these guys think they own the country.

Are the Laws of Malaysia now being applied liberally as & when it suits the political master's whims & fancies?

This so & so government guy is now getting to be like AAB- not thinking through straight before acting. Does he really want it to be turned into a full-blown news publicity and atrract world press's attraction? I hope he knows what he's doing. Desperate man does desperate things.

I would have love to meet up with IGP and check it out so that RPK will be well treated along with Marina. Thank God RPK is now back on our radar screen. Now we have TDM to blog with us.I guessed Tun was not upset with the way I had criticized him lately from my heart. Hi Rocky,

I'm not that law savvy but can the police or anyone else, for that matter intrude the privacy of anyone, and go into your own abode, home, and just take away your " personal" stuff like computers etc ? who are these people? a police state serving their political masters ? what about "search warrants" and "reasonable doubt" RPK's "questioning" seem to be just harassment tantamount to gross invasion of what most of us believe in, the freedom of speech and the 5th pillar, as we witnessed RPK so rightly and truthfully remarked during his discourse at BUM 2008, as "Speaker-of -honour".
Rpk and Marina and their children have sacrificed mush, especially their rights as citizens of Malaysia, who practice "freedom of speech" ( but was it tun salleh who quoted," that most countries and governments guarantee freedom of speech but cannot guarantee freedom after speech " )not to mention their peace and right to happiness, at all times, as guaranteed by GOD almighty who guarantees " blessed are those who hunger and thirst for what's right, for they shall be filled"....

RPK was absolutely on the ball when he mentioned about the growing irrelevance lesser and lesser influence and of course not to mention the agging SALES of all the mainstream media, who are actually panicking over lagging profit lines as they were so so slow to adapt and embrace technology and the growth of new media, like BLOGGERS ( who are definitely here to stay!!!)the internet, podcasting, facebook, u tube, myspace, emails, sms, etc etc.

Reminds me personally of the Record / music industry ( RIP, THE OLD WAY ) the so called Big record labels who were to slow to adapt and embrace the new technological revolution ( either because they knew what the consequences would bring, which would mean the Big record labels would lose control, and they would have to depend on fair market forces, actually it means that they cannot satisfy their "greed', that's all, greed for monopoly & control which translates to POWER, something they all, the Big Record companies don't want to let slip outta their hands, ( reminds, us of others who are clinging on to power? )

Now with the actual power slowly but staeadily, coming back to the hands of the "WE, THE PEOPLE...", not just her in malaysia, but even in countries like zimbabwe, a "great awakening" is taking place the world over, the power of people, UNITED, together, as ONE, can bring about change in any society or government....as all the bloggers and the opposition have proven and shown....that when people, irregardless of race, color, religion or creed, come together, for a common cause or common good for betterment in their own lives, for the pursuit of truth and justice..... the powers of darkness "shall not prevail against it....

"we hold these truths to be self evident; that ALL men ( and women !) are created equal; that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness;....(i shall not complete Thomas Jefferson's quote from the "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE"

    "LOVE GOD and Love Man,
and FEAR GOD,...but Fear no man...

We,( we all know who we are) the people, support your stand and your cause,...mr & mrs RPK, their children, zorro, shanghai fish, tony yew, nuraina and all those who were not there, but were there in spirit, and of course yourself, rocky,.... not to forget my good buddy dave avaran( who is in penang covering some entertainment event, and sent me the 1st sms at about 9am yesterday, friday regarding RPK's situation, thanks to all of you and " keep hope and faith and truth and justice alive....
